Aftermath

I hear the sound over and over in my head

I can still smell the airbag

But I can’t see it.

I can feel it.

I lose my breath

And I feel my muscles tense

The slightest impact sends me spiraling.

I don’t understand

And I hate it.

I can’t remember

And it’s killing me.

But the worst part

Is that I think it just made me realize how miserable I really am
