Ups and Downs (A Poem)

Ups and Downs

We are ever changing.

You and I.

Sometimes you leave me wondering

What if we had dated?

What if we hadn’t hated each other so much?

Maybe we’d be great together

But for now we’ll just eb and flow.

But what if we’d have built up so much,

That we’d crumble before

We ever got our chance.

Here we just continue to come and go.

Maybe we’re meant to just

Question and wonder

Maybe we’re nothing but a ``What if?”

What if we got so high up? Would it hurt when we had to come down?
