Blissful Ignorance

I know I can’t let this ruin us.

I can’t let it stick to our friendship

But what if your mother had turned around

And knowingly holding your heart in her hands,

waits for you to try to grab it

and crushes it to sand in her hand.

I know I have you

but they were my family.

at least I didn't know what they were saying behind my back.

now that i do, i'd given anything to take it back

to just keep it to myself.

I'd do anything to stop this.

I look at you

and it hurts

and my heart breaks

I look at you

and i remember

the pain

I remember the earth shaking underneath.

I remember
