Dissipate

You reminded once of the times I could smile

With true intentions as the cause.

You and I, always separated by the miles

My mind seemingly trapped behind the invisible laws,

The creation of my own mind.

The bars to my cell, I had imagined.

Would I still be so blind?

Should my restrictions be dissolved and unimagined?

Dear creativity, might you let me take a breath?

Might you let me rest my eyes?

My heart and mind must rest

Or I cannot rise
